AEE is very pleased to bring the WORLD ENERGY ENGINEERING CONGRESS (WEEC) to Washington, DC for 2008—and to an extraordinary new venue—the Gaylord National Convention Center on the Potomac. Now in its 31st year, the WEEC is well-recognized as the most important energy event of national scope for end users and energy professional in all areas of the energy field. It is the one truly comprehensive forum where you can fully assess the "big picture" – and see exactly how the economic and market forces, new technologies, regulatory developments and industry trends all merge to shape your critical decisions on your organization's energy and economic future. The WEEC features a large, multi-track conference agenda, a full line-up of seminars on a variety of current topics and a comprehensive exposition of the market's most promising new technologies. Also, in
order to address the interests and needs of the large number of U.S. government
professionals who traditionally attend WEEC, AEE will again offer a section
of the program known as FEMWorks 2008.
First introduced as part of the 2006 WEEC agenda, this special multi-track
portion of the WEEC conference will include a comprehensive series of
workshops for federal energy managers. Other features for 2008 include a free technology workshops held in the exhibit hall, and several free tours of local energy installations of interest.  Held
in conjunction with the WEEC for the eighth consecutive year, GeoExchange
2008 is developed jointly by the Geothermal Heat Pump National &
International Initiative and the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association,
with support of the Association of Energy Engineers. The exhibits and concurrent
conference cover all aspects of geothermal heat pumps for use in commercial
and institutional buildings and industrial facilities.
The WEEC
also serves as the annual convention of the Association of Energy Engineers,
and is attended by more AEE members each year than any other single event. There's no
better way to find the immediate answers you need, and to assess the full
scope of potential energy solutions available to you, than by attending
the 2008 World Energy Engineering Congress.
