Track D | Energy Manager's Summit
Smart Meter deployment reached 70 million units in the United States in 2016, and is on track to grow to 90 million units by 2020. For energy management software service providers like MACH Energy, expanded access to Smart Meter data creates more real time and actionable opportunities into building and facility energy management through analytics, operational and energy efficiency, as well as savings strategies. Additionally, states like California are now introducing bills that mandate not only the collection, but the usage of meter data by utilities. MACH Energy software is utilized in over ½ billion square feet of office buildings in the US. Our customers run the gamut, from the Empire State Building, to the Aon Center in Chicago, to the Federal Reserve Building. With our experience with leveraging data for best practices in energy management and efficiency, we will highlight case studies and stories from the field, and how increased levels of data access can assist stakeholders at the buildings, and ease pressures on the grid. With expanded access to Smart Meter data comes many benefits, such as more accurate monitoring and optimization of building operations, more effective demand side management, and greater compliance with benchmarking laws and standards. In our presentation, we’ll discuss how access to Smart Meter data can positively impact the following aspects of energy management technology: • Persistence • Fast set-up • Utility tariffs • Actionable info • Mobile • Enterprise roll-up • Measurement & Verification (M&V)
