Life After a DOE INPLT Training: How to Implement Lessons Learned Across the Company

Leslie Marshall
Corporate Energy Engineering Lead
General Mills

The DOE’s In-Plant Training sessions are an intense three to four days of in depth training on a specific utility topic. The host plant benefits by acquiring an extensive list of improvements they can make at their plant, but where exactly does one begin? How do the lessons learned get spread to people who did not attend the training and to the other plants in the company’s supply chain.

Leslie will speak to how General Mills’ advanced the learnings from the Compressed Air INPLT training conducted at one host facility to all of their plants. Furthermore, they used the information to create a training plan for existing and future energy/facility engineers so that progress towards compressed air consumption reduction will be sustained.
