Track E | Energy Basics
For as long as humanity has had artificial light, we have sought ways to better control light levels based on the situation. From bonfires to incandescent lighting, light levels have historically been tied to the amount of fuel or energy made available to the light source. Today, with LEDs and ubiquitous computing, there is an opportunity to free the light source from circuit-level control and allow lighting to react automatically to changing conditions, yielding a world where everything works just the way we want it to without anyone touching a dimmer.
