With 24 years of experience working in Energy Engineering and Sustainability, Chris McKenna currently serves PepsiCo Corporation as Sustainability Senior Principle Engineer.PepsiCo launched a sustainability agenda to reduce its global environmental footprint, for which Chris and his team are tasked with reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2030 and improving water efficiency by 25% by 2025 for the North America Beverage Group.

In 2001, Chris was hired in the newly formed Frito-Lay Sustainability group.He implemented a resource conservation program for Frito-Lay North America, lead and developed Resource Conservation team leaders throughout manufacturing plants to establish on-site sustainability programs, and developed and implemented sustainability projects.The team he served decreased fuel usage by 35%, electric use by 20% and overall water consumption by 45% per unit of production.Prior to PepsiCo Chris worked in facilities engineering and energy consulting.

Chris earned a MS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cleveland State University and maintains a Professional Engineering license in North Carolina.In addition, Chris is a CEM, Six Sigma Black Belt and has been awarded the PepsiCo Chairman's award for innovation in Sustainability.
