Jay Wrobel is the Manager of Technical Assistance at the DOE Advanced Manufacturing Office, where he oversees major programs that help industry reduce energy use, increase competitiveness, and develop trained workforces. Programs managed include Better Plants, Superior Energy Performance, CHP Technical Assistance Partnerships, and Industrial Assessment Centers. Prior to joining DOE, Jay was the Executive Director of the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA), working with Midwest utilities and stakeholders to design and implement energy efficiency solutions. Jay has over 15 years of experience in the energy, efficiency, and sustainability fields, including time at the Gas Technology Institute (GTI) and Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA). Jay has a Masters in Energy and Environmental Analysis from Boston University and an economics degree from the University of Chicago. He started his career on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade.
