Mr. Lynn Mueller is CEO & President of Sharc International Systems in Vancouver, British Columbia. Sharc International Systems has grown from an idea Lynn had 8 years ago to the largest and most successful wastewater energy exchange company in the world.Sharc Energy is positioned to be a global leader in carbon reduction and energy efficiency. In the past, Lynn was President of Water Furnace International, following that he was the President of Earth Source Energy Inc. Lynn is responsible for a large number of advanced sustainable energy systems using Sharc technology including the DC Water Headquarters LEED Platinum 170,000 square foot building and Wall Centre Central Park, a city block of 1000 apartments in Vancouver, and Borders College in Scotland where Sharc was able to offset 95% of the natural gas usage for building heating. Lynn and Sharc have been able to take the Sharc system from concept to reality and along the way Sharc has been able to develop working relationships with some of the largest energy companies in the world.

Lynn’s passion is Sharc International Systems which is working to recover the 100s of billions of dollars’ worth of waste energy that goes down the drain every year in the world. Lynn has overseen the growth of the team at Sharc which now has installations and offices on 3 continents and has projects coming in from around the world. Sharc is poised to become one of the fastest growing energy companies in Canada. Lynn has won many industry awards for the Sharc innovation worldwide and is a finalist for the 2018 EC Manning Innovation Award which is Canada’s most prestigious honor for an individual.Lynn continues to press hard in his quest to make re-use of energy the norm for buildings of the future to reduce CO2 emissions and global warming. Lynn has four children and two granddaughters, so his personal mission is to do all he can to make the world more livable for them and others.

 

Don Posson, PE, CCP, CPD, GGP, LEED AP

Vice President

Don is the Corporate Director of Engineering for SmithGroup, a global Architectural/Engineering firm, and is responsible for their Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Structural Engineering services groups. He maintains oversight for building systems engineering in all global and domestic branches.He received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University (1986) and is licensed to practice in 17 states.

Mr. Posson is a nationally recognized leader in high-performance systems design and has significant experience leading the development of award winning designs for large and small-scale sustainable projects, including the world’s first LEED Platinum project and several net-zero energy buildings.Don has lectured on the integration of sustainable design approaches at the University of Maryland, the University of Pennsylvania, Catholic University, George Washington University, Ball State University, Marymount University and Drexel University, and he has been published in Consulting Specifying Engineer, Engineered Systems, Architectural Record as well as Environmental Design & Construction magazine.
