Buster is CEO for CoGen Power Solutions.Barksdale drives the company’s business development activities, with an emphasis on CHP, Prime Power development and related technologies, as a part of the organization’s integrated offer. He also plays a significant role in identifying, diligencing, and consummating strategic mergers and acquisitions. Just as important, he takes the lead role in managing and selling the assets in their growing integrated Distributed Generation offer.

Mr. Barksdale is a Certified Energy Manager with over 36 years of energy management experience and has served at all organizational and functional levels.His service started in 1978 as an Energy Manager.Since then he has performed engineering, energy management, construction management, performance contracts, facility operations, and consulted on government energy policy and procurement procedures.He managed developments that included a $1.1B project with over $100M per year in construction for multiple sites and types of facilities.While in the Air Force he managed programs of over $900M annually including $95M in leases.Mr Barksdale also managed Demand Management generation and CoGeneration assets with over $280M in projects last year.Mr. Barksdale’s leadership skills and his prominent status in the energy industry are recognized by government, business and professional organizations.

Buster holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University an MPA in Public Administration from Oklahoma University and Air War College degrees.He retired from the Air Force and has held management positions with SAIC and Primary Integration.He is a Life Member, a Fellow and serves as the International Director of Government Affairs for the Association of Energy Engineers as well as President of the Washington DC post.Mr Barksdale also sponsored the Department of Energy’s pilot course on Data Center Energy Practitioners for the East Coast.His credentials include Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP), Certified Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP) and LEED Associate (USGBC).
