Bert Hill, MSc, C.E.M.
Manager, Health Safety and Environment
Volvo Group N.A.

Abstract:

Raising awareness is an element of ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems, and engaging people, a.k.a. human resources, is essential in sustaining and improving energy performance. Volvo Group North America has worked together with an EDF Climate Corps Fellow to explore methods to expand energy awareness and engage a higher number of employees. The project resulted in an Energy Awareness and Engagement Program that comprises tools, templates and an implementation roadmap. Some of the tools have been tested and the next step is to initiate a comprehensive pilot of the program.
