Nick Bleeker has over 30 years of experience in the lighting industry in both the technical and commercial aspects of the business. In his current role at Philips Lighting, he supports the company’s strategic efforts focusing on the Specification community and is responsible for developing innovative marketing programs that address the company’s aggressive (LED-) growth and industry-leadership plans leveraging the company’s breadth of solutions as well as the legacy of very well-respected brands.

Nick has been a member of the IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) since 1986 and served 8 years on the IES Board as a two term South Region Director (2008-2012) and Treasurer (2012-2016). He is a published author (WEEC - World Energy Engineering Congress & IES Conferences) & speaker in various trade shows & industry conferences where he has supported as an Advisory Board Member to the WEEC (last 10-years) , Light Fair International (2008-2009) and the IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers) & the IES Conferences (2007-2010).

Nick has worked for Philips Lighting in various capacities including product management, business development, international operations, marketing, and development engineering where almost eight of those years were assignments in the Netherlands and in Mexico City. One of his proud accomplishments was leading the project teams for the design and construction of a two million dollar Lighting Institute in Tupelo, MS which was recognized as the 1st LEED certified Lighting Center of its kind. Nick holds a M.B.A. and a B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN).
